   Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I need to service my Lexus?
Every 5,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first

What kind of fuel do I need to use in my Lexus?
93 Octane is recommended

Why is my navigation system trying to take me to my previous destination?

The navigation system will “stack” destinations, and if you do not delete the previous destination when you arrive, it will send you to that destination first, and then to the new destination. When you arrive at a destination, touch “route” on the screen, and “delete” the destination. (It is still saved in the database, so you can recover from previous destinations, but it will not interfere with your current destination request.)

What causes a check engine light?
There are many situations that may cause your check engine light to come, but the most frequent reason is failure to properly lock down the gas cap after refueling. If you do not lock the gas cap tightly, the system checks will trigger a check engine warning because there is no vapor lock in the fuel system. The customer has to bring the car to us to have the codes cleared, and the check engine light turned off.

What do I do if my key won’t work in the ignition?
If the steering wheel is turned all the way to the right or left when the car is turned off, there may be difficulty using the key to start the car the next time it is driven. The solution is as simple as “unlocking” the wheel by putting pressure in the opposite direction of the lock. This will release the lock and allow the key to work normally.

What kind of life can I expect from my tires?
Manufacturers
must put tires on the car that meet or exceed the speed rating that the car is capable of reaching. Higher speed ratings sacrifices tire wear. The customer does not have to replace the original equipment with the same speed rated tire, but they do need to consult our tire experts on what type of tires and speed rating will be best for performance and safety.
